Ministry Update: Fountain of Life Christian School (Dominican Republic)

Fountain of Life Christian School serves approximately 500 students throughout its elementary and high school programs, providing Christ-centered education to hundreds of families in Juan Tomas.

In addition to pursuing academic excellence, FLCS provides opportunities for students to develop ministry skills through practical service. Students lead worship, teach Sunday School, and participate in outreach events. While other grades do service projects, the high school seniors go to poor villages for two or three days to serve, demonstrating Christian mission as a core school value. This hands-on ministry involvement helps young people discover their spiritual gifts while developing servant leadership.

The school is establishing a new vocational track, which will provide real-life experiences for students in multiple career paths. This program will include electrical, plumbing, building maintenance, welding, carpentry, culinary arts, hospitality, and nursing assistant programs.

The school continues to provide parent meetings to address family needs and make the gospel known. As the school is open to any and all, regardless of Christian commitment, evangelism remains one of the major mission goals of all teachers and staff. God continues to bring young people to the Lord and expose parents to the gospel and the church in Juan Tomas through teachers’ ministries.

How to Pray for Fountain of Life Christian School

• Please pray for the Lord to give wisdom and clear direction to the school’s directors as they seek to faithfully lead the school and plan for the upcoming year.
• Pray for teacher recruitment and retention as government schools pay significantly more, making it difficult for men heading families to continue as faculty.
• Pray for the students to come to faith in Christ and for believers to grow in their walks with Him.
• Pray for the expansion of the outreach and training ministry to the parents.
