hi
why are most of the winners from US only?
was the competition for US students only?
were all interantional students that bad?
We received essays from over 30 countries, (several in other languages besides English, in which we had to find specialty judges). But the majority of the essays (close to 90%) came from students living in the United States. So actually the ratio of 1/7 winners being from a country other than the United States was a higher ratio than the 1/10 ratio of entries. Over the past few years, we’ve always had at least one or two non-US based winners.
We are looking forward to posting some of the winning essays in the next few days for everyone to read and experience.
